Sometimes you have to wonder whether something is genius or crazy and the "selfie arm" just landed itself in this category! Artists Justin Crowe and Aric Snee want no one to look alone when taking photos of themselves while out and about and have prototyped a design to alleviate just that.
The "sarcastic solution to a quintessential problem" is a selfie stick which looks just like an arm when the "selfie" is taken. Making it appear that you are holding hands with another person.
The "selfie arm" is lightweight, portable and made from fibre glass and even by the artists own admission, is fortunately only a prototype!
10 Limited edition "Selfie Arms" have been made which are offered at an eye-watering $6,200 over here at Justin Crowe's website. As a work of art the collaborative project is a statement on the massively popular selfie stick phenomena and the need for your life to be validated time after time on the internet.
So what do you think? Time to be less lonesome?
